Ryan jurors head into day six of deliberations

Today is day six of deliberations for the revamped jury in former Governor George Ryan's corruption trial.

The new jury includes two alternates who were added by U-S District Judge Rebecca Pallmeyer last week.

The previous jury in the case deliberated for two-and-a-half weeks without a verdict before two jurors were removed.

The reconstituted jury has signaled that a verdict may take a while.

Ryan and businessman Larry Warner are charged in a 22-count indictment with racketeering, mail fraud and other offenses. Both have denied any wrongdoing.
