As policy analyst, Jose I. Sanchez Molina provides research, communications, and analysis of complex state policy issues, as well as monitoring and lobbying to promote policy reforms and best practices in the areas of state government ethics, efficiency, accountability and transparency. He researches and advises on BGA policy development and positions. Sanchez Molina joined the BGA in 2016.
Jose has experience in community organizing and public policy, both in Illinois and California, where his efforts led to the creation and passing of state laws that have served as national models. Jose has also directed campaigns that have directly impacted state and national policy around issues of voting rights, immigration, education, and equity.
Jose is a proud Chicagoan and lives in Pilsen. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and was a Greenlining Institute Policy Fellow.
