Alden Loury Joins UIC Mayoral Moderating Panel

In one of the first mayoral candidate forums of the election season, mayoral candidates Alderman Robert W. "Bob" Fioretti, businessman Willie Wilson and activist William "Dock" Walls discussed their positions on a range of issues of concern to working class Chicago.

At a forum hosted by the University of Illinois at Chicago's Working Class Studies department, Better Government Association Senior Policy Analyst Alden Loury joined the moderating panel alongside Dr. Calvin Morris, former executive director of the Community Renewal Society and University of Illinois Professor of Labor and Employment Relations Steven Ashby. Incumbent Rahm Emanuel and Cook County Commissioner Jesus "Chuy" Garcia were not in attendance.

The BGA does not endorse candidates for public office but encourages Chicago residents to attend candidate forums and otherwise learn about candidates running for office in the February 24 municipal election.
