Senior Investigative Reporter
David Jackson joined the BGA as a senior investigative reporter in August 2020. Jackson had been a Chicago Tribune investigative reporter since 1991, except for a year at The Washington Post, where he shared the 1999 Pulitzer Prize for public service for articles on citizens shot by police. At the Tribune he was a four-time Pulitzer finalist for articles that prompted law enforcement indictments and legislative reforms. His investigations often focus on injustices faced by vulnerable populations.
