Sally Gonzalez

Vice President of Operations

Sally Gonzalez has 15+ years of business administration experience focused on providing leadership and direction while overseeing accounting functions, cost-saving methods, contract management, business development, and strategic planning. A mission-driven professional, Sally earned her BA in English from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), completed the 2019 inaugural Social Enterprise certification program from UIC and was named a 2019 “Future Innovator” from REDF, a venture philanthropy that invests exclusively in social enterprises that employ and empower people overcoming barriers to work.

Currently, Sally is the vice president of operations at the Better Government Association. In this role, Sally provides leadership and vision for the continuous improvement of operations and positioning the BGA to achieve its strategic objectives as it heads into its centennial year in 2023. An integral member of the BGA leadership team, Sally oversees the budgeting, investments, accounting, human resources, technology, civic engagement and marketing of the organization.
